Adelaide Lyceum Club Oral History

A brief address about the life of Gwendoline McCarthy who was born in Norwood in 1901, educated at the MLC and studied law at Adelaide University. Gwen joined the Lyceum Club in 1923 and was president from 1967-69. She married James McCarthy and they set up a law practice in Kadina. She was involved in the Guides in Kadina. On her husband's death she returned to Adelaide and joined the firm of Thompson, Cleland, Holland and McCarthy.
