Description

The papers include the personal and professional correspondence, research notes and other material of Nina Christesen, founder of the Russian Department at Melbourne University in 1947. Many of the papers are in Russian and record her wide contacts with Russian academics in Australia, the UK, the Soviet Union and elsewhere, as well as the experiences of Russian emigres in China after 1917.
