Description
56 hours (approx.) Interviewers: Margaret Allen, Dana Kautsky, Karobi Mukherjee, Effie Sierros and Raffaela Del Vecchio. A pilot project in which 20 women of non-English speaking backgrounds who migrated to South Australia after 1945 were interviewed at length about their lives and experiences and the impact of their new home on their social and cultural lives. A small proportion of the interviews were conducted in the original language of the interviewee involved. The majority are conducted in English. A book for use in secondary and tertiary education was intended to be developed from the interviews.
