This is a collection of assorted materials relating to the Queensland Division of the Australian Women's Land Army. They include: MA Thesis by Pamela Anne Carlton, service record books, Copies of the Land Army Gazette (various years), historical notes prepared as part of an exhibition that coincided with the Royal visit in 1970, photographs - cutting and originals, ration slips. A poem warning Queensland girls of the sexual danger associated with falling for a serviceman is also included in the collection.

The John Oxley Library is in temporary accommodation until 2006. Most material is kept off-site. Researchers wishing to use the manuscript collection should contact the research librarian prior to visiting the library to confirm the availability of the material.
