3 sound files (ca. 129 min.) Betty Wilson was considered to be Australia’s greatest women’s player of cricket. She was a household name in post war Australia and dubbed “the female Bradman”. Wilson became the first Test cricketer (male or female) to make a century and claim 10 wickets against England. She was inducted into Australia’s Sports Hall of Fame (1985) After her retirement she maintained a strong interest in women’s cricket becoming a much-loved and respected figure.
