Description

Dow's Pharmacy is preserved as it was when Hilda and Roy Dow closed its doors for the last time in 1968. The second pharmacy on the same site, the building dates from 1868, and many artefacts date back to this time. There are also letters, photographs and documents, including prescription books and reference texts, which record the Dows' professional and personal lives,and their involvement in their local community.

Access
Pharmacy open Mon-Sat 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, depending on volunteer availability. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday. Bus tours by appointment only. Ph: 03 5726 1597. Record access at the discretion of The National Trust of Australia (Victo
