Description

The East Melbourne Historical Society was founded in 1999 historians Dr. Ann Colman and Dr. Liz Rushen. It began as an offshoot of the East Melbourne Group's planning and heritage sub-committee. The East Melbourne Group is a local residents' action group whose main aim is to protect the area from inappropiate development.
