A day in the working life of a (retired) historian: Patricia Grimshaw

Date: 3 October 2016

VIDA, a collaborative blog about the research and practice of feminist history, with a specific focus on gender and women’s history, is an initiative of the Australian Women’s History Network (AWHN). The editors’ goal is to create an open-access blog that makes knowledge of the history of feminism, in Australia and around the world, accessible, approachable, and inspiring.

They have been running a series that explores the working life of feminist historians in Australia, the most recent being ‘a day in the life’ of Emeritus Professor Patricia Grimshaw. Patricia Grimshaw is a long term, active supporter of the National Foundation for Australian Women and the Australian Women’s Archives Project. She has been a lead investigator on numerous Australian Research Council grants to develop content for the Australian Women’s Register, including the Encyclopedia of Women and Leadership in a Century of Australian Democracy.
