Come to a free, History Week seminar sponsored by the eScholarship Research Centre at the University of Melbourne and the Australian Women’s Archives Project .

Judith Smart and Marian Quartly will introduce a number of online sites for women’s history, with a special focus on their own online exhibition Stirrers with Style: Presidents of the National Council of Women of Australia and its Predecessors.

SPEAKERS

Marian Quartly holds the position of Professor Emerita at the Monash School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies. With Judith Smart she co-authored Respectable Radicals: A History of the National Council of Women of Australia, 1896–2006 (2015).

Judith Smart is Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Adjunct Professor at RMIT University. She is co-editor of The Encyclopedia of Women and Leadership in Twentieth-Century Australia.
