The Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS) is taking part in the navy's vital job of defending the seas. These telegraphist "WRANS" operate at Harman Station, near Canberra. F. Provan (right) and H. Dunshea are proud of their badges, identical to those worn by male naval telegraphists.
