Description
A small number of papers relating to the Congress of the Australian Peace Council held in Melbourne in 1950; included are the speech delivered by Jessie Street and letters and papers dealing with the visit to the Congress by Dr. Hewlett Johnson, Dean of Canterbury. Also included are the minutes of the A.P.C. National Executive Council meeting in 1955, and a typescript manuscript entitled “Notes on the history of the Australian Peace Council”, covering the years 1949 and 1950.
