The Germaine Greer Archive currently fills 487 archive boxes (occupying 82 metres of shelf space) mainly documenting the period 1959-2010. It is still in the process of being created; two deposits were received in 2016 and a third was delivered by Germaine Greer in March 2017. The University of Melbourne purchased the archive in 2013. The archive documents Greer’s work as an academic, a film, TV and theatre performer, a writer (notably her extensive work as a journalist) and an environmentalist, as well as her personal relationships with friends, lovers, family, colleagues, students and fans.
