QFX22816, LIEUTENANT SYLVIA MUIR, AUSTRALIAN ARMY NURSING SERVICE. SISTER MUIR WAS ATTACHED TO THE 2/13TH AUSTRALIAN GENERAL HOSPITAL IN SINGAPORE. SHE SURVIVED THE SINKING OF THE SS VYNER BROOKE AND THREE YEARS AS A POW OF THE JAPANESE. (LENT BY MRS SYLVIA MCGREGOR)
