Farmer, Margaret Anne (1933 - )

 
Psychotherapist and Social worker
Born: 26 October 1933  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Margaret Farmer was a social worker and psychotherapist. She was a foundation member of a group of child care centres established in the 1970s in Caulfield, Victoria. She was a volunteer visitor for 17 years of the Anti-Cancer Council Breast Cancer Support Service.


Career Highlights

Margaret Farmer was awarded her B.A. Dip. Social Studies in 1956. and her B.Social Work in 1978, both from the University of Melbourne.

She was a member of the Women's Electora Lobby, International Women's Development Agency, Amnesty International, Coalition against Traficking Women, Austcare, UN NA, Soroptimist International, Unifem and Genealogical Society of Victoria.

Margaret is the daughter of Margery Johnson (née Warren), and mother of Felicity, Celia and David.
