Skip to contentE. Jean Curlewis was the daughter of Ethel Turner. Before passing away she wrote a number of books including The Sunshine Family: A Book of Nonsense for Girls and Boys, with her mother.
Daughter of Ether Turner and Herbert Raine Curlewis. The author of mainly childrens publications, she was married to M L Charlton.

I have been fortuante to have been given a 1925 book by Jean Curlewis: 'Verse writing for beginners'.
It has encouraged my daughter and I to attempt writing poetry.
It is a wonderful book; simple yet brilliant.
