A member of the Australian Democrats, Roslyn Dundas was elected to the Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory ( ACT) representing the electorate of Ginninderra, in 2001. She was the youngest woman ever to be elected to an Australian Parliament, but was unfortunately defeated at the 2004 election.
In 2008 she was appointed Director of the ACT Council of Social Service.
After being educated via the public school system Dundas commenced her BA at the Australian National University.
In 2000 she was General Secretary of the ANU student body as well as a member of the National Union of Students' National Women's Committee.
Dundas has worked as a trade union organiser and as a young women's development co-ordinator at the YWCA. She was a participant in the National Youth Constitutional Forum in 2000 and was selected as a reserve for the National Youth Roundtable 2001.
She is an active member and supporter of the Women's Electoral Lobby, the Youth Council of the ACT and the YWCA of Canberra.
