Barker, Ann Patricia (1952 - )

Born: 19 January 1952  Latrobe, Tasmania, Australia

A member of the Australian Labor Party, Ann Barker served as the Member for Bentleigh from 1988-92 in the Legislative Assembly of the Victorian Parliament. She was defeated at the 1992 election, but returned to parliament as the Member for Oakleigh in 1999. She held the position of Parliamentary Secretary, Training and Higher Education from 2002-06 and served as Acting Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 1999-2006. She was re-elected at the November 2006 election. Since 2006 she has been Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
