A member of the Liberal Party of Australia, Wendy Lovell was elected as the Member for North Eastern Province in the Legislative Council of the Parliament of Victoria in 2002. She was re-elected at the November 2006 election as Member for the new Legislative Council Region of Northern Victoria.
