Summary

A member of the Australian Labor Party, Maxine Morland was elected as the Member for Mount Waverley in the Legislative Assembly of the Parliament of Victoria in 2002. She was re-elected at the 2006 election, which was held on 25 November. She was appointed to Cabinet on 30 July 2007 as Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development and Minister for Women's Affairs.
