A socially and politically active health professional, Penny Bartholomew ran as an Australian Democrats candidate for Illawarra in 1999.


Career Highlights
A highly qualified nurse with midwifery, sick children and community health nursing qualifications, Penny has also worked in adult education and charity organisations.
She migrated to Australia in 1986 and became a naturalised Australian citizen in 1996.
She is interested in sport, alternative health care, the environment and community matters.
