Valerie Bush has been a long term environmental campaigner who stood as an Australian Democrats candidate in the 1995 New South Wales Legislative Assembly elections for Cronulla.


Career Highlights

Valerie Bush was born and educated in Tasmania and moved to Sydney as a young adult. She was one of four women who initiated a campaign to prevent the establishment of a toxic waste disposal incinerator being sited on the Cronulla peninsula. She also campaigned against the establishment of petro chemical plants in the area. In her campaign in 1995, she strongly opposed the 3rd runway being planned for the Kingsford Smith Airport.

She is a Client Service Manager in the Financial Planning Industry and is married with three children.
