Naughton, Miriam Joyce

Miriam Naughton was a long time local councillor in Goulburn. She was first elected in 1974 and remained on the council until 1987. However her attempts to enter state politics were less successful: Miriam stood as an Independent candidate in the 1983 elections to the House of Representatives seat of Eden-Monaro and in the 1984 elections to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Goulburn.
