Sekers, Dorothy

Dorothy Sekers was a once only candidate for parliament: Independent candidate, New South Wales Legislative Assembly, Waverley, 1984. In her campaign leaflet, Dorothy Sekers described herself as the youth candidate and noted that none of the political parties had promised anything specific for the single under 30s. She advocated rent subsidies for under 30s on the dole and the decriminalisation of marijuana.
