Le Messurier, Kathleen

Sportswoman and Tennis player

Kathleen Le Messurier played for Methodist Ladies College, Semaphore and East Torrens Clubs, represented South Australia from 1919 and was the State's best woman player for many years. She ranked in the top 10 women players in the Commonwealth and in 1930 played at Wimbledon. She was a runner up in the Australian Open, to Coral Buttsworth, in 1932.
