A Newcastle city councillor, Sonia Hornery stood successfully as a candidate for the Australian Labor Party in the seat of Wallsend in the Legislative Assembly at the New South Wales state election, which was held on 24 March 2007. She currently holds the position of Parliamentary Secretary in the state labor Government. |
