Summary

A member of the Australian Labor Party, June Appleby was elected as the Member for Brighton in the House of Assembly of the Parliament of South Australia at the election which was held in November 1982. In 1985 she was appointed Government Whip in the House of Assembly, the first woman in the South Australian Parliament to hold that office. She was defeated at the 1989 election in the seat of Hayward.
