A member of the National Party of Australia, Diane McCauley served in the Queensland Parliament as Member for Callide from 1996-98, when she retired. She held the ministerial portfolio of Local Government and Planning from 26 February until 26 June 1998. Before her entry into the state parliament she served as a local government councillor for the Banana Shire.
