Summary

Daniela Torsh graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours). She was active in women’s issues at university where she was elected to the Women’s Union.

Daniela has worked as a journalist for The Australian, and as an independent film maker in the 1970s. She was prominent in women’s education policy and acted as consultant for the Commonwealth Schools Commission.

Daniela was the executive officer with the Steering Committee for the Enquiry into social change and the education of women, in addition to the executive producer of the women’s film unit of Film Australia.
