Summary
Joanna Baevski was the granddaughter of Russian migrant Simcha Baevski, better known as Sidney Myer.
The only daughter of Prue Boyd (q.v.) and Kenneth Myer, Joanna Baevski was a Director of The Myer Foundation. She was Vice-President of the Governance Committee, and a member of the Social Justice Committee, the Water Committee and the Environment Grant Making Committee. She represented The Myer Foundation as a council member of the organisation Our Community, and was a board member of Australians for Just Refugee Programs. A member of Philanthropy Australia, Joanna Baevski was also a supporter of the Victorian Women’s Trust.
Joanna died in Melbourne in April 2026.
