Office of the Status of Women (1977 - )

The Office of the Status of Women (OSW) is currently part of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. The OSW provides policy advice to the Prime Minister and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of Women on issues affecting women in Australia. This involves influencing policy, and Cabinet and Budget decision-making to ensure women's interests are considered.
